Angel in the Spring

My life was listless in the winter;
As there was no bread or butter;
But as nature unfolded into spring;
You came along and my life took an upswing.

When you first walked across the street;
In your gorgeous black satin robe;
My heart took a leap and i stared standstill;
As the curly tresses of you beautiful hair
Fell Oh! so perfectly over your shoulders;
Never before on the land of Adam and Eve
Had someone so perfect a gait;
And when I stared at your deep blue eyes
I was lost in your charm for I knew
You were the One!
